How to apply false eyelash extensions at home for only 10p

How to apply false eyelashes at home
for 10p

False eyelashes can be annoying and irritating to wear, not when you apply them the way I do.
Here’s how : (details on best places to purchase later)

Wash or cleanse face make sure no residual oil is left on the eyelids.
Apply your normal mascara to front and back of the top lashes first, this way you don’t disrupt the lashes when there glued on.

Cut one of the lashes in half across the middle, you now have 2 lashes, if the lash is a longer sweep at one corner, just cut another pair too and swap them so you have one for the left eye and one for the right, the other pair you can use another time.
Apply tiny amount of glue across the strip of lash at the base, now carefully stick one of the lashes to the outer part of the eyelid, close to were the natural hair grows, take off and re-apply if not happy, it can take some practice.

Apply mascara to the lash underneath the lash gently.
Lashes can be purchased in a large box, 10 pairs for only around 2.00. That’s 20 times you can wear false lashes for a very small fee. Look on ebay, there’s lots of shops selling them.

Glue can be purchased from Sally’s beauty store or boots, use the pva type in a tube, it’s better than the cheap clear glue you get with the traditional lashes sold and it lasts a long time too.

Happy nights out looking glam for a fraction of the cost

Argan oil is called “Moroccan gold” it comes from the nut of the argan tree grown in Morocco and Algeria and is traditionally harvested by the woman who crush the nut and extrude the oils by using a mortar and pestle by hand, it is a cottage industry which helps to make them a living.

Goat milk has been used for centuries, Cleopatra was known to have bathed in Milk for it’s cleansing properties.  Goat milk is a natural cleanser with excellent emollient properties and not surprisingly when you see the chemical makeup :  vitamin A, vitamins B6, B12, riboflavin, niacin, alpha-hydroxy acids in the milk are believed to have rejuvenating effects on the skin cells and the butterfat helps to soften and moisturizes.

Nettle's for food and medicine

Nettles free food & medicine source vitamin and energy packed
It’s Spring again and the buds are peeking out from hibernation and the lane at the bottom of my garden is covered in fresh young nettles, it’s official, it’s Spring.
As a herb lover and strong believer in their medicinal qualities, I’d like to share more details on why nettle’s are so useful as both a food and medicine.
At the end of the winter months were a little sluggish and run down, were generally less active, and a detox of cleansing and nourishing nettle’s can be just the thing. Nettles are nutrient dense wild foods available to us as free food and medicine, high in calcium, magnesium, chromium, zinc, iron, potassium, trace minerals, selenium, protein, vitamin A and C, nettles are a good all round tonic herb.
Nettle has a good reputation of being an iron tonic due to the high levels of amino acids and vitamin C, nettles contain tannins which can tone mucus membranes of the digestive tract and prevent too much iron absorption in a balanced way.
Nettle is high in flavonoids, quercein and rutin, which help the blood and circulatory system.
Practitioners of Chinese medicine use it to treat blood deficiency.  The hair and nails also benefit from nettles as it feeds the follicle’s, it’s amazing how strong these grow when nettle is taken regularly.
The medical fraternity do frown upon herbs, they want to dissect every component, but  an explanation of why the herb works isn’t always easy to pinpoint because by nature, and the holistic in the way they act and this is the beauty and wonder of herbs.
Nettles are used as a prime remedy for treating fatigue and blood sugar balancing and can help to regulate the body’s metabolism , from balancing the thyroid, strengthening adrenal function and restoring the productive organs.  Nettles work to balance sugar levels, by energizing and increasing vitality, it reduces cravings for artificially stimulating foods like sugar and caffeine
Nettle has astringent, toning and cleansing properties that enable the liver, kidneys, skin and lungs to worke more efficiently increasing natural detoxification.  We commonly turn to the nettle for atopic conditions such as eczema, asthma, allergies and hay-fever and though useful to many, it can in some cases cause allergies.

Some interesting ways to add nettle to your diet :
Nettle Tea : add two teaspoons of fresh nettle to a cup of boiling water for a refreshing drink, use 1 tsp if using dried nettle.
Juiced : throw some in the juicer with your regular vegetables and fruit
Nettle vinegar: simply place a fresh stems into cider vinegar and leave for a month to six weeks then take the nettle out and use on salads or to pep up other dishes.
Nettle hair rinse: make a strong infusion of nettles and boiling water and leave to steep over night, use as a rinse, to help make hair shiny and strong.

Nettle Soup
·  2 leeks
·  4 cloves garlic
·  Colander full of nettles
·  Veggie stock
·  Fresh herbs- I use parsley, a few sprigs
·  Drizzle olive oil
·  Sea salt and pepper to taste
chop and lightly fry the leeks, garlic and nettles add the veggie stock, enough to cover the contents plus a little more, boil and then use a blender, add chopped or dry parlsy add salt and perpper and a little milk to dilute and make it creamy
Nettle Pasta:
A bunch of fresh nettle tops,
1 onion
garlic to taste
salt and pepper
lightly fry the ingredients and add your own herbs, I like oregano, rosemary and basil

Boil pasta of your choice
place the cooked pasta on a warm plate an place the nettle Bolognese on top
You can vary this by adding tomatoes or cheese or any other favorites.

What is Rosacea
Well if it’s something you’ve never suffered from, it’s worth knowing about because it can just appear later in life and many people don’t even know they have it until it’s set in to a pattern of regular re -occurrence’s.
Rosacea pronounced (roh – zay – sha )  is a life disrupting disorder usually of the facial skin, characterized by flare ups and remissions.  Typically beginning after the age of 30 as redness of the cheeks, nose, chin, forehead and sometimes, neck, chest, scalp or ears even around the eye’s.  over time becoming ruddier and more persistent, with visible blood vessels and broken veins.  Left untreated, pimples and bumps may appear, disfiguring the face.  This is a condition known as rhinophyma.
The disease is most common in Women but men also,” Rhnophyma” gave the late comedian W.C. Fields his bulbous red nose. Individuals with fair hair and fair skin who tend to blush or flush easily are believed to be at greater risk.  Symptoms can be reduced with early diagnosis and treatment before it reaches that stage.

The face may be rough and appear to be very dry
